This month we were lucky enough to celebrate our second year wedding anniversary as well as celebrating 10 years together as an official couple. January always holds a special place in our hearts because the 8th of January has always been our anniversary. We also found out we were pregnant so it’s a pretty big month for us and a special one at that! Time just flies now with Zoe who is turning 4 months old in mid January.
Over the last ten years, we’ve grown a lot, both as individuals and as a couple. We shared many wonderful moments together, too many to share. I think that’s why we love and enjoy blogging and vlogging our experience now. We want to remember every moment and treasure these memories not only for ourselves but for our children too.
I think Albie would agree that we are very simple people and enjoy whats most important in our lives. We don’t need much to be happy and care more about the real purpose of life. For us, it’s about family, love, passion and happiness. And even though we originally planned to travel to Thailand to celebrate it there, (we had a few hiccups with Zoe’s paperwork and ended up staying in Taiwan), it all worked out in the end.
As long as we are together, our little family, nothing could really be wrong. I mean, we are celebrating ‘us’ and it doesn’t matter what we do or where we are, as long as we are all together. Queue in the Backstreet Boys – As Long As You Love Me!!!
Quality Time + Good Food = A Good Marriage
To celebrate this wonderful milestone we decided to go eat at one of our favorite spots nearby the apartment called Harbor Seafood Buffet Restaurant. It’s at the TS Dream Mall in Tainan.
We made a reservation for Saturday the 7th of January instead of the 8th because we typically go out elsewhere for church on a Sunday. We both got dressed up, fed Zoe, took Buckwheat for a walk and were out the door by 1.30pm for our late lunch date.
It’s our third time coming to this particular buffet and the food selection is so good. We enjoy it every time we come here and are not at all sick of it at all. I have a feeling we’ll be back every month from now on. A lot of the selection stays the same but there are normally changes to a lot of the dishes and deserts. We ate for 2 hours straight, took a couple of happy snaps and left TS Dream Mall with full bellies, ready for a late afternoon nap 🙂
The rest of the evening was spent at home watching Finding Dory (which by the way, made us cry like crazy) with Buckwheat and Zoe resting nearby. Overall, it was a wonderful day.
Here’s what I want to say to my man for our wedding anniversary. Thank you hubby for being a wonderful person, a creative soul and an intelligent man. Thank you for all the amazing experiences, travel, laughs and for Buckwheat and Zoe. Thank you for the hugs and kisses during those tough moments throughout the years. thank you for being by my side no matter what. Thank you for allowing me to be me, for making me feel loved, special and sexy (*wink wink*). Here’s to the first 10 years, to the 2 years of marriage and to the many more years to come! If I got to spend my days with you for the rest of my life, I’ll count myself the luckiest lady alive.
